Why We Chose Internally Threaded Flatbacks

Beyond the smooth post and secure screw-on design, we also paid close attention to a detail that's often overlooked: the threaded pin itself.

Unlike many standard internally threaded earrings, our flatbacks feature a 4 mm extra-long, pointed threaded pin.

Why does that matter?

The longer, tapered pin makes it much easier to align the decorative top with the post—especially when you're changing jewellery by yourself or reaching difficult piercings like the helix, flat, or conch.

Instead of struggling to find the tiny opening, the pointed tip naturally guides the thread into place before you begin twisting.
